Dr. Kathya Zinszer is a podiatric physician who’s clinical and outreach focus over the last 12 years has primarily been on diabetes, wound care and limb salvage. Zinszer served as a member of the full-time faculty at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine for close to 9 years and served as the Chairperson of the Department for 2 of those years and is now an attending physician at Geisinger Medical Center in the Dermatology and Wound Care Department. Dr. Zinszer believes the blending of a Masters in Public Health with her Podiatric degree can have a greater voice to impact the community of individuals with pre-diabetes and diabetes. Zinszer also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board and a speaker for Advances in Skin and Wound Care; she is an editor of the Wound Care Chapter in the Compendium of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery for the last 5 years and is an active Board member and speaker for the APWCA, Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders and an active member of APMA. Currently Zinszer is serving as the APMA representative to the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Diabetic Foot Guideline writing group.
